Vlo'tje Kadootje

Jose Cornelissen (Fionnmae) sheltered a litter of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for a friend who had to be hospitalized. She took it on her to raise them and to find good homes for the babies and asked me to visit her to make some pictures of them. Because I really like this breed this was a fun task for me to do. I did not thought about taking one home and in fact I did not. But....... there was one very tiny girl in the litter that did touch my soul the moment I saw her. She was hidden behind her much bigger brothers and sisters but when she peeked around one of her brothers to have a look at that funny woman with that big camera she did it to me, I fell in love.
I said to Jose if you cannot find her that special home let me know and I will take her, she is adorable. The odds that nobody wanted this little girl were very small, she was the most cute little thing of the litter. Maybe not the most beautiful one but a true heart stealing little creature.

The first picture I took from Vlo'tje

I called Jose many times about the puppies in the weeks after and could not get the little face of this puppy out of my mind. Such a sweet little thing. Jose had seen how I really fell in love with this little kid and she and Anita who helped her to raise and place the puppies decided to give me this little girl as a present. And what a present it is!!! They could not have made me more happy! You should have seen my face when they brought her over when the time was there the puppies could leave the litter!!
I named her Vlo'tje Kadootje what somewhat means as Flea present, for once this is a name that sounds much better in Dutch:)
Vlo'tje who I met as a bit shy girl turned into a little terrier like monster:) She is very brave, friendly and although se looks more like a spider then a flea this moment, I get the idea she will develops into a quit handsome little girl. She is still small but with the temperament of a mountain lion:)

Here is a slide show of Vlo'tje Kadootje that I made as a thank you for Jose & Anita
